Shrimp & Pesto Spaghetti

This is a slightly different version of the shrimp and penne pasta recipe that you’ll find in the archives. It’s still the same flavors just with spaghetti noodles instead of penne. Is it good? Of course.

  • 1 box of spaghetti noodles boil, al dente
  • 1 sm jar of pesto sauce
  • 1 sm bag of frozen shrimp peeled
  • 1 sm onion chopped
  • 1 cup of reserved pasta water
  • 1 stick of butter
  1. Cook the pasta..

  2. Melt the butter in a saute pan. Saute garlic and onion for a minute or two. Add the shrimp and cook for 8-10 minutes or so. Add the whole jar of pesto sauce, reserved pasta water, and sprinkle of red pepper flakes(optional). Stir to incorporate everything.

  3. Stir in the spaghetti noodles.

Garnish with chopped basil if you like.

I reckon’ you can use any kind of pasta with this recipe since pesto(homemade recipe) is good with anything. Well, in my opinion anyway. Enjoy.
