Before the year 2020 ends we see GMA Network StarStruck alumna Kris Bernal making 2 major changes in her showbiz career. She’s left GMA Artist Center and is now being managed by Cornerstone Entertainment Inc and gets a show on TV5. A sign that she’s transferred to TV5 was a post from Kris herself showing her feeling giddy beside Piolo Pascual as she makes a guest appearance on TV5’s Sunday Noontime Live. Now that she’s under new management and has left her old network, Kris will be seen on primetime serye, Ate Ng Ate Ko, every Monday at 9:30pm on TV5.
I’m very happy for Kris Bernal. I’ve always believed that she was one of GMA Network’s capable actresses and in all fairness have gotten plenty of shows that rated well and is one of the luckiest actresses in the Philippines in terms of how many veteran actors she has worked with throughout the years. Superstar Nora Aunor for example. I’m sure network loyalists are not happy about Kris’ decision but it’s always been my opinion that actors and actresses should have some kind of freedom to work with anyone regardless of whichever network they have a TV contract with. But, that’s just my personal preference, I suppose. Being that Kris is under a management that’s not exclusively tied with a network I hope to see her shine more in movies too. Good Luck and Congrats, Kris B!
