I saw this Photo-A-Day Challenge for the whole month of Feb from a Turbo Fire buddy. I decided to do it so here it is. Since I’m starting on day 3, I’ll just post day 1 to 3 so tomorrow I’ll be all caught up with the dates. If you’re doing this too please let me know so I can visit your blog.

February is not just love month, it’s my husband’s birthday month. He already got his gift yesterday. A light Ibanez black guitar that he can play around with without having to lug around his other heave guitars. He found it from a pawnshop yesterday. I told him since it’s his birthday on the 20th, if he likes something from the shop then by all means get it. So he did. I’m wondering if he’d also need a new guitar tuner that would go with it. He’s already got one of course but I still want to give him something small on the day of his birthday itself. He just purchased his amplifier a few months ago therefore I know he’s good with that. So a new guitar tuner it is.

Speaking of, he’s in the shed right now fine tuning his guitar after he cleaned and buffed it to shine to perfection last night. When he’s in the zone of tuning his guitar, which he usually does in our bedroom, I could never hear myself think. He turned the shed in the back of the house as his own man cave. That’s where he plays his music as loud as he can and where he works out in the morning. He can tune the E, A, D. G, B, and E strings over and over again all night without me hearing a thing. After he does that, he’ll probably rock it out in the shed like he’s having his own mini concert playing the few metal songs he’s so good at. That part actually don’t bother me. I am proud to have a husband who knows how to play a guitar and who is capable of rocking my world with a finely tuned guitar. It’s a love month after all. :)

Queen Madonna is the one I’m looking forward to on Super Bowl Sunday, plus the commercials, and hot wings! Go Giants! Hahahaha ;)

If you’ve been following me for years, like waaaayyy back in ’97, you’ve practically watched my son grow into a Teenager. Chances are, I’ve watched your kids grow as well. I suddenly feel all nostalgic. Anyhoooo, part of his growth that you’ve witnessed is his art work. I can’t even count how many times I’m raved what a great artist he is and how many artwork of his that I’ve posted throughout the years. They’re not limited to drawings either. My son can do digital better than anyone. Well, maybe I’m exaggerating but what I mean it, he’s really good. He once drew Popeye in Photoshop just using the draw tool then printed it and when his cousins saw it they all wanted one. These days he’s into creating videos and video games. I won’t even attempt to look into his computer to check out his files coz I know he’s got folders and folders of them. He has a YouTube account where he uploads the videos though. I’ll share some of the videos sometime. Right now, here are some recent and not-so recent drawings all over his room.

As you can see, he’s into Sonic these days. He’s also into Halo and he has drawings of that too which I’ll post sometime. When he was in grade school, except for that one week when he brought home 3 tickets in a span of one week for talking too much, he never really got in trouble for the usual stuff that kids gets in trouble with at school. Yah know like bullying, picking a fight, or being a distraction to other kids. Every time I had a meeting with any of his Teachers, his trouble was mostly because he liked to draw a lot. It sounds strange, doesn’t it? See, he would always rush his work so he could have that extra quite time to do whatever and in his case, to draw. So every time we’d talk to him about focusing on the task at hand, I always had this pain in my stomach. It always bothered me so much telling my son to ease up on something he’s obviously so passionate about so he could concentrate on other things.

No offense to my dear friends but coffee really is my bestfriend. I can’t function without it. When I get the crazy idea not to have coffee just to do another crazy idea to quit drinking coffee, my day turns into shambles. I get a terrible headache worthy of Lubbock migraine. My husband knows when I get these crazy days of quitting coffee. He sees my hand in my forehead then asks, “coffee?” right away. Having said that though, I can only have 2 cups a day. I go over that and I’m having heart palpitations. So let’s see, if I don’t drink coffee, I’ll suffer from headache. If I drink more than 2 cups, I’ll get heart palpitations. I’m swell.. haha.

Sometimes I try to live in the wild side by having iced coffee and my world is A-Okay.

Stop everything else that your’re doing, I did, coz apparently, the fact that Jennifer Aniston Chows Down on Short Ribs in Front of Justin Theroux is such a big deal. I chow down food every day in front of my husband, that surely doesn’t make it to US Weekly. And I’m sure you guys eat in front of your partners with much gusto as well. You’re not making headlines in showbiz mags for sure. But then again, we’re not celebrities, right?

Why does US Weekly glamorizes everything that Jennifer Aniston does anyway? What’s next? she farted in front of her new boyfriend. Pffftttt.

I was so proud of myself because I actually finished my first book of the year early this January. It was Debbie Macomber’s Thursday’s At Eight. My mother-in-law gave me a few books to take home when we were in New York last December to spend holidays with them. Once we got back home I spent organizing the remnants of traveling, and put away holiday decorations. At night I would spend a couple of hours reading my book so I finished it in no time. I think 1st week of January. So now I’m working on my 2nd book of the year. it’s another Macomber story called Orchard Valley Brides. It’s taking me a while to finish it because I’ve been distracted with other things these days, like Word with Friends and Scrambles, perhaps? *Teehee*

So what is Thursday’s At Eight about? it’s basically about 4 friends who meet up at eight in the morning every Thursday. 4 different women, with 4 different lives and problems. I want to have 3 friends to meet on Thursdays, or any day, at about 12noon coz I like to sleep in on some days. It depends how stressed I am, haha.

This book 2, Orchard Valley Brides, is kinda slow for me. It’s actually 2 stories in one book. I’ve only read probably 25 pages of the first story. I’m going to try to read more this weekend coz it drives me crazy knowing I’m being slow with this. Another one of my quirks, of course.

So what are you reading this month? Do you have a list for the year?

One of the things my daughter and I enjoy doing besides cooking together is doing crafts. I wish I remember to take pictures of our craft times but sometimes I find myself being so in the task that I completely forget about the camera. That’s a bummer for making memories especially for a scrapbooker like me but sometimes it’s good too. This generation is too obsessed with taking pictures of everything that we forget to feel the moment. Like were there doing something but we’re too busy trying to take the best shot. Hey, I’m guilty of that a lot so no judging here.

Anyhooo, my favorite place to go to for ideas is Personal Creations. If you connect on their Facebook page, you’ll get not only craft ideas to do with your kids, the page also provide tips and tricks on daily chores, store sales, and a nice community for parents, crafters, etc. So check’em out when you can. Personal Creations just posted a link for making play-doh so I think that’s our next project. Wish us luck.
