I only trust a few people in this world. And when I say trust, that also involves respect towards these people. This week has been very interesting but I’ve learned quite a lot. One of that is the appreciation I feel towards someone I have come to highly respect in these day and age. See, a friend was contemplating on making probably one of the hardest decisions in her life. There were many factors she had to think of to decide what she thinks is right for her. I appreciated the fact that she took the time to let me know. All I could offer was a listening shoulder and an understanding that sometimes a person just have to take that step in her life for her own betterment and growth.

You know what else I appreciated more? It’s the fact that not once, not even intimated in any of our conversations any hint on her part to persuade me to do anything. Not once did she put me in a situation where I had to pick a side. It never came up in the discussions. Not once, and I’m reiterating this to stop any assumptions. It was never brought up nor was it ever a part of our conversation. There was no manipulations, no insinuations, Nada, nothing involved to put me in a middle to decide my future. I appreciate the recognition that I’m a 30 yr old woman who is certainly capable of making decisions of her own without the outside influence thankyouverymuch. I appreciate friends like that. I have high regards towards people like that.

It’s not always you meet someone whom you could share a laugh with, disagree with in some issues, yet maintain civility and knowing people do have different opinions, personalities and lifestyle.

Therefore I say, thank you.
