My New Fwend, An HP Pavilion dv9810us

Instead of spending money trying to fix our almost 6 yr old HP laptop which actually died on us last December we decided to just buy a new one. Hubs and I would love to have a Mac and we “shopped” (online) around. Really nice one. A dream to have. We’re just not willing to spend about $1300 right now. So we scratched that idea.

We also wanted to get away from HP so DELL came to mind next. When we got to Staples last night I personally saw how small DELL laptops are. I don’t like it. I like my gadgets big, kind of manly, heh. So for a couple hundred  dollars more, Hubs agreed to get my choice . Back to HP, hehe. It’s the 17″ inch monitor that attracted me to this HP Pavilion dv9810us. All the other details were taken cared off my the hubby. He liked what was in it, whatever they’re called (LOL), so I got my new laptop. Well, “our” new laptop. All I know is that it’s huge, yet still fits our old laptop case so it’s not that huge for traveling, it has a built-in webcam and microphone, and programs that Hubs has been having fun playing around with. He made a movie earlier where he split his body in 2 and there were two of them staring at me. It was both funny and scary at the same time .  I also like how you could arrange your icons on the very top of the screen. It’s neat and organized.

I don’t know much about all the technical stuff but I know it has 3GB which can handle stupid Vista. The latter eats the life out of the HP Pavilion S3020N Desktop PC that we rushed to buy last December when the old laptop died. Hubs was able to fix the old laptop but the wireless connection doesn’t pick up for some reason, and it uses an external CD/DVD whatchamacallit. Good Lord I suck at technical terms…LOL. that’s why I keep my husband around, =P. So anyway, C is getting the laptop for himself which he probably won’t be using until we move to our new house, whenever that is. His desktop computer will  be given to Goodwill one of these days. No point on saving it for BabyE since by the time she’s ready to use computers, I’ll probably have my MAC by then .

Anyhooo, I love our new HP Pavilion dv9810us. I borrowed the picture from Amazon.com. Haven’t had a chance to take my own. Some other time maybe.
