Saturday’s Yard Sale

We finally had a Yard Sale this past Saturday. I have been planning to have a yard sale ever since we moved to this new place last year but couldn’t have one coz our house is located near the road so it’s a little dangerous for drive bys. We need to get rid of items we’ve accumulated throughout  the years so we decided to just have one. Even though we already dropped some stuff in Salvation Army we still have a few items we had to get rid off especially since we’ve upgraded a few things in the past few months. I just made a note about being careful when approaching the area in the classified ads I posted online.

We brought things out at about 6:30am. I woke up and I was like, “what am I doing up so early for?” Then I remembered I was supposed to have a yard sale. Big items like the toddler bed, portable bed, clothes and shoes, (kids & adults, some are new), romance books that I’ve collected throughout the years, PS2 + games, old purses, old PC monitor, toys, kids books and other miscellany stuff. Emma Lyn didn’t want to get rid of the toddler bed which was comical coz she barely slept on it. She preferred going to our bed which is why she got her brother’s Kids bed and he was upgraded to a Loft Bed. Anyway, imagine a scene with a 3 yr old crying while 2 customers were waiting if the other one was going to buy the bed. It sure made the day interesting.

We made out ok. Not enough to buy an epson tm-t88iv of course since we were practically giving away things for free which drove me crazy but hey what can you expect from a yard sale?. In any case, I’m just glad that we got rid of the big items cluttering up the storage shed. We packed everything up by noon-ish coz it actually drizzled a couple of times. We didn’t want to risk having it drizzle hard the 3rd time while the stuff were still out in the front yard. I guess I can say the Yard Sale was a success.
