My Favorite Super Bowl 2010 Commercials
I’m not into football but I do watch the Super Bowl primarily for the commercials and the half-time show, and the game too. My husband who is also not a football fanatic was actually cheering for a team (SAINTS) and got excited with the whole thing. Anyhoooo, here are my favorite Super Bowl 2010 commercials.
Your Bridgestones tires, or your life??
Taking Advantage Of Free HBO/Cinemax For 5 Days
Yes, that’s 1 week of free HBO/cinemax from Direct TV. It started last Friday and it’s ending today. In about 2 hours or so. I can’t believe it lasted for 5 days. Usually when cable networks do promos like this to entice satellite subscribers to add them in the package, it’s only during the weekends. HBO did it for 5 days. WOW!
Wanna know the other good thing about this? The movies are fairly new. We were able to see movies that were on our “DVD rental” list. Plus some movies that we’ve already seen, own the DVD’s and happened to like so we re-watched it too.
American Idol Versus USA Elections
Every time someone makes a sarcastic comment about how ironic they think it is that there are more people voting on American Idol compare to the US Election, I want to grab them by their shoulders and shake the living crap out of them. Maybe their brains would start functioning. I believe that YES, if you could vote then you should and you must vote during the election time.
Let me tell you why making an argument out of this American Idol versus US Election voting is pointless.
To be able to vote in the US, you must be :
-
18 years old
-
a registered voter
-
An American Citizen.
American Idol voters doesn’t have those limitations. An 8 yr. old kid who can dial the 1-800 # that American Idol provides can vote. And she can vote as many times as she can. A teenager who has a crush on a contestant, whom she thinks should win American Idol will not only vote using a home phone, she can also text in her votes. As many times as she can afford.
A smart fan, minor or adult, can vote after the East Coast viewing. THEN, stay up and wait until after the West Coast viewing and vote again. Over, and over and over and over. You get the idea. Ohh what, you didn’t think of that? Helllooooooooooooo.
Oh and guess what, you can be an immigrant or an illegal immigrant, if you live in the US, with a phone line and a cellphone, you can vote for as many times as you want in American Idol. It’s not the case in the US Election.
So if another dumbass try to talk smart by pointing out how ironic it is that American Idol gets more votes compare to the US election, please, shut them up. Please.
The Desperate Housewives New Season Opener
Oh Man I love Desperate Housewives. Last season ended with a teaser that the show has moved forward to 5 years. Susan kissed a young Man, Gaby had twin girls and the ladies ran foxy conniving Edie out of Wisteria Lane. So what happened last night?
