February 4th: YOU. And since I’m being a narcissist today, I created a pop-art of myself. You can have me in red, blue, green, and purple. In my world, my emotions can be any of those tones at any given time. I’m not ashamed to admit it. I’m definitely proud of it.
Refer to this post for Photo-A-Day Challenge. Let me know if you’re doing this too so I can visit your blog.
I saw this Photo-A-Day Challenge for the whole month of Feb from a Turbo Fire buddy. I decided to do it so here it is. Since I’m starting on day 3, I’ll just post day 1 to 3 so tomorrow I’ll be all caught up with the dates. If you’re doing this too please let me know so I can visit your blog.

Emma loves to bake. If it was up to her we’d be baking cookies, cakes, and cupcakes, everyday. But of course we can’t do that so we do it on the weekends. She definitely had fun with all the Holiday baking we did last year. Anyhooo, for Christmas, Nan and Pop gave her a Kid’s Cupcake Bake Set from Bed Bath and Beyond. The set came with apron, wooden mixing spoon, icing spreader, 5pc measuring spoons, 12 cup nonstick mini cupcakes pan, 1(24 count) mini cupcake liners, cupcake stand and vinyl carry bag.
We made mini chocolate banana cupcakes.

And regular sized ones too. BTW, I added chocolate chips on the recipe so the cupcakes are more decadent. And another thing, the cupcake bake set is currently on sale for $2.99. NICE!
It was actually unusual that Upstate New York didn’t get much snow while we were there for our Christmas holiday. I told my husband we might have brought the NC effect effect with us. I mean it was definitely cold and reminded me of the 8 years that we’ve spent in New York before moving to the South, but not much snow. On the 23rd, it finally snowed but only 2-3 inches. Nevertheless, it was a beautiful scene so Scott took as much pictures he could take, and here they are.
So the story goes, after opening gifts, and eating breakfast of Eggnog French Toast made by the dear husband, we went to the golf course for a bit of sledding. Well they did anyway. Daddy, Emma and Caine. I talked to my Dad first coz the cellphone didn’t have a signal at my in-laws’ house. I could’ve used their phone line but since we were going in town at the golf course anyway, took advantage of the signal from the cellphone. Anyhooo, after talking to my Dad, I did my part in the sledding. Take pictures and video.
On the 2nd(or was it 3rd?), Emma Lyn went on her own. And as I watched her go down the snow path, I saw the small frozen pond ahead. I kept thinking, “she’s gonna go into the pond, she’s gonna go into the pond”, and guess what, she did. As I watched, I had the video cam on one hand, Nikon on the other. I couldn’t do anything. I froze and screamed. Scott told me not to scream as he sprinted his way down to the pond. The pond isn’t really that deep and it was frozen enough for my light daughter on top of the board to be on but yah know, I’m a Mom, and a frozen pond is a frozen pond. It’s not like the pond has pool safety covers for the winter season.
I stopped screaming as soon Scott reached the pond, then took a video of “The Emma Lyn Rescue.”

Yesterday was supposed to be the kids “pictorial” day for our Christmas card this year,. I’ve had everything set up. The Christmas Tree as the background, and they were both all dressed up. However, I was only able to take pictures of Caine. I have a lot of solo pictures of him. Emma Lyn on the hand, NADA.
Today is a different scenario though, well slightly. Emma is wearing her outfit again and I was able to take solo picture a a few hours ago. But I still can’t get the shot I want. Aaahhhh. What is it that I want anyway? I dunno, Haha.
So we’re here, waiting for Caine to get home from school so maybe, my God please help me, I’ll be able to take a picture of them together. I’m pretty sure after taking 100 shots, I’ll have 2-3 good ones that I could possibly use for our Christmas card. No wonder professional photography is expensive, Haha!
Here’s Emma doing the robot dance.. LOL. She’s cute
I can’t believe we actually woke up early so we could watch the town’s Christmas parade this morning. I woke up first which to tell you the truth would never have happened if I didn’t have to go to the bathroom so badly, HAHA! I could have gone back to bed but I figured I might as well stay up and watch the parade with the family. Scott woke up shortly after, we both checked online a bit, he and Caine ate breakfast, Emma Lyn and I didn’t coz were not breakfast people, then got ready and we were off just in the nick of time. It was difficult to find a parking spot but Scott found one eventually then looked for the right spot in the town circle. We moved twice for better viewing before the parade started. Lots of fire trucks which Emma loves, many candies were given away that Emma said it was Halloween, clowns, school bands, Princesses, business floats, mini-nascar. classic cars, Chargers(car), and many more. I took so many pictures of course.
