Bring On The Spring!!

I took that picture of the tree upfront for my Instagram a couple of weeks ago. It is definitely Spring around here. Although it has been a rainy and thunderous 3 days, the weather has been really good over all. And we survived another leafy fall and winter here in NC. It didn’t even snow at all. There were just so many leaves in the ground that my son broke the rake at one point. At least we didn’t need a Leaf Defier though. So yes, I welcome Spring with all my heart, allergies and all. I’ll survive the allergies the same way I’ve survived them through out the years. Bring on those beautiful flowers.

The Winter Season

First of, no I haven’t been to an austin allergist to help me deal with what seems like my personal blog allergies. Like I keep saying ad nauseam, at the end of the day, I’m all blogged so I don’t feel like I have anything else to share in here. In all honesty though, it’s not like anyone is here reading my blog so it would be like talking to a bubble so what’s the point of blogging, haha. I can’t believe i just said that.

Anyhooo, the winter season. It feels weird. It’s cold, sometimes freezing, then it’s nice for a few days. When I say nice, I meant, Spring-like nice weather. But then the weather will change its mood coz it becomes gloomy and like today, it’s raining. It’s supposed to be snowing in NY now. Well, the Adirondacks anyway. I really hope this moody winter doesn’t mead bad weather all throughout this year. Yah know, those natural disasters and stuff.

My Poor Blog

Just when I though I finally have an incentive to blog everyday thanks to Photo-A-Day Challenge, I’ve slacked already. Ayayay.

Gone are the days when blogging personally was one of the things I wanted to get done for the day. These days, and for years even, I’m all talked-out, micro-blogged-out, wordpress-out, and blogged-out by 6pm that my head can’t handle another hour looking at a wordpress dashboard. Unfortunately it’s my personal blog that gets it. So so so so pathetically sad about it. :(

Well, Monday is another start of the week so I’ll start again next week, hah!

Coffee Really Is My Bestfriend

No offense to my dear friends but coffee really is my bestfriend. I can’t function without it. When I get the crazy idea not to have coffee just to do another crazy idea to quit drinking coffee, my day turns into shambles. I get a terrible headache worthy of Lubbock migraine. My husband knows when I get these crazy days of quitting coffee. He sees my hand in my forehead then asks, “coffee?” right away. Having said that though, I can only have 2 cups a day. I go over that and I’m having heart palpitations. So let’s see, if I don’t drink coffee, I’ll suffer from headache. If I drink more than 2 cups, I’ll get heart palpitations. I’m swell.. haha.

Sometimes I try to live in the wild side by having iced coffee and my world is A-Okay.

Having a Biz

Thanks for the post from Sylvester Campbell

Having VoIP for business has been such a lifesaver for my little company. I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have such a strong technology background – it’s the only thing that keeps my small business looking professional with the way things are right now. I can’t understand how some people are able to be in this business and NOT be struggling because for me it’s hard just to pay myself, much less have employees on the books but you know, I guess it’s all part of the trade off. I get all the responsibility for owning this little company which means I get to make all the decisions and whatnot but I also get all of the bad stuff when it comes time to figure out why things aren’t going well. It’s nice to have a flexible schedule but flexible doesn’t mean I don’t have to work much – I don’t EVER get a day off – it just means I get to work at 2am as much as I get to work at 2pm!

In New York

2nd day in New York. We drove 14 hours from NC to NY on Saturday, about 4pm. We hit 0 degrees while driving that day. It’s really cold but it’s all good. I’ll just warm myself up form all the delicious food my mother-in-law is feeding us. First’s night’s dinner was my favorite lasagna then my favorite dessert tiramisu. During the day, I took pictures of the snow, or what little snow we have. I plan to take pictures everyday to show stages of snow. We’ll I’ll try to remember anyway. The lake is frozen and it’s really a good view to take a picture of but I should do that like right now coz it’s much better outcome. We’ll see. Too much to do, no time to play around much in the computer, or at least surf around for life insurance online quotes. Not for a whole week anyway. But here’s the pictures from our 1st day. Scott is supposed to cut a a tree later but we’ll see. We’re all just being spontaneous which is fun so try it sometime, :) .

A Quickie

I’m working on this blog while watching the Manny Pacquiao VS Marquez fight. This is a quickie note so I don’t kick myself out of the NaBloPoMo. I’m supposed to blog everyday so here it is :) .

Feistymomma Needs a Makeover

Not the Feistymomma the person, but the Feistymomma.com site, that is in need of a major makeover. I’ve been thinking about incorporating the photoblog in here as a gallery slideshow. I haven’t uploaded new pictures though but I figured I’d spruce up my site since it’s Fall now and the header is still showing a Spring flower.

In order to add the slideshow here, I’ll have to use a wordpress jquery slider that won’t clash with the jquery post gallery that I’m already using. I have a thumbnail gallery installed in this site that I want to keep in order to have an organized thumbnail viewer. When you click each thumbnail, you get a pop up of the large image but stay in the site. I like that and I want to keep it that way.

Thankfully I’ve found Slidedeck early this year which I’ve installed in an entertainment blog that I’m running. That blog has other jquery plugins running that are unfortunately incompatible with the usual slideshow galleries found in WordPress themes. Slidedeck is that one plugin I’ve found that works with everything.

I love how easy to configure it, with various templates to suit my entertainment blog’s  look. Compare to other slideshow gallery plugins out there, Slidedeck also accommodates more than 1 category to feature. It’s definitely perfect for magazine styled themes.

Sometime this week my personal blog is getting a makeover and she’s going to look as fabulous as I am. Well, hopefully anyway.
