9 Words/Phrases Women use!
I laughed my ass off watching that video. I’m not going to argue or diss or disagree or confirm. I just thought it was funny. Over and Out!
I Felt The Earth Move..
I can’t remember what song that line is from but yes, I definitely felt the earth move yesterday, along with other people from Virginia, Washington DC, Ohio, NYC and others.
I felt the wall dividing the kitchen and living room shook first and I wasn’t sure if that was really an earthquake. I had to remind myself quickly that I live in NC and not in California. To confirm that initial shake, the entire house shook harder the second time around and I watched the photo frames on the wall do the Lambada.
I called out my husband’s name who was in the bedroom office doing his school’s homework. My son who was also in his bedroom came out to ask if we felt the house move. The little girl was with me in the living room but I don’t think noticed anything at all.
My husband went outside to check if there were any damages. Our neighbor came out to ask us if we felt the earthquake too coz she thought she was drunk or something..LOL. She’s such a cool lady.
I turned on the news, CNN was all over it and local news confirmed that yes, all that house shaking thing was from an earthquake. I wonder how many people were thinking about immediate annuities while thinking about going out for shelter since there was a Hurricane warning as well.
Fortunately, no aftershocks came and it looks like things are ok for now. Let’s hope it stays this way.
Blogging Mojo Or Lack thereof
Sometimes I’d blog everyday, sometimes 3 times a week, sometimes once every 2 weeks, haha. It’s not like I’m getting that old and in the process of claiming disability appeal. It’s just, too many stuff start running in my head sometimes and I lose my train of thoughts. Then I realize while already in bed that I wanted to blog about something. Then another set of thoughts come to me the next day so one set of thoughts after another starts piling up so I’m lost even more.
One of these days, I’ll sit and write something substantial about my boring life. Until then, I will leave you with….. nothing. Sorry….
Missing California
I really really miss California these days. San Diego to be specific. If we could only afford the cost of living back in Daygo, I would’ve packed our stuff then dragged my family like a week ago. But of course it’s not that easy to just do that. The apartments for rent are probably too much. I wonder what the rates are for homes for rent. Yup, renting would be a better option first instead of buying a house right away if we ever get serious in moving back there. Chances are we wouldn’t find affordable homes to rent. I don’t even think that option exists there anymore. I’ve been gone for too long. But then again, the previous years of down economy could have forced homeowners to rent out their homes with an option to buy.
So what brought on this sudden desire to move back to San Diego? Well, the piercing heat and humidity from last weekend made me wish for the San Diego summer instead. It might be hot there but not as hot as the South, that’s for sure.
A Morning Sight
My husband and I watched The Dilemma this morning since it’s his day off and the kids were still asleep so we figured we had a couple of hours to enjoy a movie, just the two of us. But of course, the little girl woke up in the middle of the movie and joined us right away. Since she was still in a cuddling mode, she and Daddy cuddled in the couch. She was just laughing her hear head off when Vince Vaughn was getting the beatdown from Tatum Channing. Granted it’s a bad thing that she’s laughing when someone is getting hurt but hey, the scene was funny so you can’t blame the girl. The scene between the Father and Daughter was too precious to miss so I grabbed my camera right away and took a picture. I wouldn’t have cared if people wearing lab coats were there to ship me off into a mental place for letting my daughter enjoy that violent scene in the movie.
It was a cute moment and I wanted a picture to remember it by. The movie is pretty good by the way.
Thank God It’s Raining
I’m usually not a rain person. It makes me gloomy and lazy but after all the heat we’ve experienced in the past week, the rain for the past 3 days is definitely needed. Although my daughter would say otherwise coz she loves to play outside wearing her summer outfits, cute new pair of sneakers, and her many many sunglasses. Well, I could always get her the cheap Kayne West sunglasses so she and I could play rock stars in our living room. For now, the rain is better than another week of 98-100° kind of weather.
Yah Know, Exercise Is Still The Best Way
I can’t exactly remember which morning show I was watching earlier what tackled the fast ways of losing weight to get into the bikinis to still make it for the Summer. I think it was Good Morning America. The lady featured a bunch of ways which include eating baby food and 1 regular meal for the day. It was really disgusting. And then there was some kind of hormonal injection in the stomach that suppresses the appetite. then there was a love your carbs kind of diet. I was surprised they didn’t feature anything about diet pill that works fast. All I was thinking was, yah know, you could always exercise. Believe it or not, exercising plus a diet you can live with actually works.
A Match Made On Madison By Dee Davis
A Match Made On Madison by Dee Davis is my book for this summer. I just started it this past weekend so I can’t say much about it yet except that it’s about 2 friends who became rivals in the business of matching people in relationships. The best matchmaker could win the best natch for their heart as well. Such a chick lit for sure.
What are you reading this summer?
