Coming Up For Air
Oh My gosh, my last entry was 2 weeks ago. I have been soooo busy, stressed, and in need of a really good night sleep. I finally got a decent sleep last night. I made sure to go to bed at a decent hour of 11pm. Work is work is work and I love it but it’s also overwhelming at the same time. Especially when you have deadlines to meet. Then of course there’s the thing called life with the kids and the husband. OI! 
But I can’t really complain. Life is good. Busy and stressful but good nonetheless. Neglecting my personal blog is frustrating but it’s the least of my worries. Right now I’m behind my exercises. It’s been cold lately. It’s easier to just cuddle up in my robe and knock out work as early as I can so I can at least rest a bit at the end of the day. Excuses, excuses I know. This week is probably not going to be much better. March should be more balanced though. Right now I’m in the process of catching up because of some work stuff that took a little bit of time. Add the lack of sleep, and painful mouth sore I suffered last week.
I’m still a bit tired but I know I’ll bounce back in a few days or so. Thanks for checking up on me .
Personal Project : Style & Flair
I have always wanted to start a personal network involving the Fashion and Beauty industry rolled into one. Granted most of my professional blogging jobs already revolves around it, I’ve felt limited because I write about specific topics. Like Men’s Fashion, Bargain Fashion and Kids Fashion. I’ve just recently added Beauty in my repertoire. But see, I like the other aspects of fashion and beauty as well. Fashion Reality shows (Project Runway, etc..) I watch and follow religiously every week. The world of the high-end fashion that I drool over almost everyday. I wanted to write more in depth about them instead of just writing notes on Plurk or Twitter.
Last month I finally got my gear on and worked on fulfilling this "dream". With the help of my friend Star, she and I planned and executed the whole thing in the beginning of October. She and I were on skype every night deciding on the images, colors, etc.. after I found the perfect WordPress theme. While I loved the theme, the webdesigner in me just had to configure/customize some parts to fit how I envisioned this "dream" to look like. Kinda like how I customized the theme I’m using here at FeistyMomma. By the 20th, Style and Flair was ready to be introduced online. I showed a few friends to preview and get their input. Positive feedback, YAY. Star and I decided to to wait until the 1st of November to officially launch. But because we were so excited, we kinda let the Plurkdom and Twitterdom have a sneak peek.
Yesterday was November 1st and we had the launch party. Although Star and I celebrated separately it was still fun . I actually celebrated earlier than November 1st. I did it during the Halloween party we attended to. My 1st gold schlogger shot was dedicated to Style & Flair as well as some frustration I was feeling that day after discovering something a little shady going on behind my back. But oh well, bygones. After the first shot I pretty much don’t remember what else I drank, LOL.

Office Makeover & Philippine Blog Awards Nomination
First of, I just discovered today that I am nominated in the Philippine Blog Awards under the Special Awards : Best Network Blogger category. I only visited the website this morning coz I was wondering if the event was done and if my fellow Mommy friend Rach won the blogger’s choice award. Who knew I’d find my problogging portfolio site as one of the nominees in the aforementioned category. It was such a surprise. And sooo cool .
The PBA is on tomorrow at 6pm, registration starts at 5pm. I’m assuming that’s Philippine 5pm time. I’m really not sure what the time conversion here for US clocks. I think you have to add 14 hours. to anyone who wants to watch it live through online streaming, visit Noemi/About My Recovery for all the infos.
I’ve never been nominated for anything this prestigious so I’m kinda of in shock and giddy..LOL. Thanks Philippine Blog Awards. I wish the organization and all the people involved, nominees included a successful and fun event. I wish I could be there and partake in all the fun and meet everyone. Maybe someday .

This week is the best time for me to toot my own horn coz in a matter of 6 days, I raised my June comments in Style It Less from 223 comments to 10,966 for July. And there’s still about 2 weeks left in the month!
Blogging for Style It Less is just one of my many blog I write for under b5media and I ♥ that blog ( as well as my other 4) and I consider it (all) my baby. Just like my 2 children, I take care of my blogs. It’s a lot of work to nurture and make any blog grow. I love them so much that I do my best every month working hard on each of them. That’s how I get paid after all..LOL. And like I said, I Love My Job!
So I’m tooting my own horn for reaching that many comments as of last night. It probably won’t be that high next month and for a long time so I might as well toot about it as loud as I can now. YES, they are legitimate comments .

NxE compiled a list of 50 Most Influential Bloggers and I have to admit I only read 4 blogs out of the 50, religiously.
Shai Coggins, who happens to be one of the women I’ve admired for years (and always will) before she became my boss. She’s the VP Community and co-owner of b5media where I proudly work.
Heather Armstrong famously known as the Dooce. I visit her all the time and I admire how unabashedly she tackles life and her critics, heh.
Gala Darling who is a fashionista blogger from Australia. Fashion and wit, what more could I ask for?
Go Fug Yourself which is an everyday aphrodisiac for me. I don’t know how my life would be without the Fug Girls.
I’m familiar with some of the other great female bloggers on the list but was never really into visiting daily. Maybe I should broaden my horizon..LOL. Anyway, an idea came to me. See, as much as I respect the 50 minus 1 (not telling) on that list, I think other great female bloggers need recognition too. They’re not as mainstream (world) as those 50 but they’re just as influential and amazing in my world. Besides the female bloggers mentioned above, here’s my homage to the other 10 influential female bloggers. In random order.
10. Echo Leigh — she’s a single mother of 3. How she does it and stay sane I don’t know. Oh, and she’s also a budding award-winning journalist.
9. Sexy Mom — for some reason, that moniker gets uptight people’s underwear tied up in a knot. All The Time. *scratches head*
8. Kadi Prescott — 7 kids. And how was your day? Uh Huh.
7. The Parody — she gets really deep sometimes.
6. Laurganism — a very articulately written blog from a young woman discovering life and it’s eccentricities.
5. Annalyn — she has an Asian travelogue, food blog, and life blog all rolled into one.
4. House On A Hill — her name is synonymous to Blogging in the Philippines. Plus she loves to cook .

1. FeistyMomma — guess what, no one will think of me as an influential blogger except me so darn it, I AM on my list. LOL! I influence my life, my children and husband. No one influences my blog more than myself. I write for 5 blogs under b5media, quit 5 other blogs under another network (not enough time in the day) and maintain my 2 personal blogs. I think I deserve to be in my own list =P.
