Defending Governor Sarah Palin

Yes, this is probably going to be a one in a million generous thing I would do so soak it in, take a picture, I don’t give a  *beep*, coz it’s Friday and I ain’t got *beep* to do. If you know where all those lines just came from then YOU ROCK! .

While I may not have voted for Governor Sarah Palin, I feel sorry for her after the election. I don’t agree with her policies and where she stands on issues and definitely don’t think she is ready to co-lead a country. Having said that, what the Republicans are doing to her these past 2 days is beyond despicable. Putting the blame on her of why McCain lost by the same party who picked her no less is absolutely ridiculous. I and other citizens could do it but not the Republicans. Not by the people who plucked her out of Alaska 3 months before the election. A complete unknown to Americans, except for the people in Alaska of course. Whether it’s true that it was the Governor who spent the $150,000 shopping spree and not an Aide, it doesn’t matter. It was YOU, the Republicans, who put her in that situation. Letting people know about an incident where she walked into the room wrapped in a towel and towel on her head during a debriefing is downright tacky. It’s too paparazzi style. It’s such a tabloid fodder. It’s worthless. Giving her and her family the sobriquet "Wasilla Hillbillies" is mean and elitist.

And to use these kinds of accusations is so insulting. As much as I hate that I’m about to go there, here it comes. We wouldn’t be discussing about buying suits, shopping sprees, or walking around in a towel if Sarah Palin was a man. No one would talk about a Man’s shopping spree after losing an election. If you’re going to blame Sarah Palin, then dammit talk about her policies and the World issues that she’s clearly not ready to handle.

The McCain and Republican team need to take responsibility for their own actions. Guess what, they selected Sarah Palin. What’s that thing that my Momma always said, "stop pointing your finger at someone coz more fingers are pointing at you". Something like that.

My Problems With Both Parties

I’ve been plurking a lot about politics or what  I know of it anyway. I might be irritating some Republicans, including some of my friends. But I know they love me . Anyway, my husband and I pretty much know which Party we’re supporting but for FYI case, I do have problems with both parties. This is our country’s future. I’m not just going with the flow. I weigh a lot of issues. I argue about it with my husband. He and I actually discussed politics while on our drive to Virginia Beach early last month for our Summer Vacation.

Obviously, we both made out of it alive, heh.

I’m so sick and tired about this “lipstick on a pig” issue I just wanna go to my nearest Pork Butcher store, pick up a whole pig, head included, throw it  on a spitfire and make a lechon out of it.

While everyone else argue about a freaking lipstick, let me share with you the problems I have with both candidates.

Obama/Biden

I Like Biden actually. I have no problems with him at all.

Obama on the other hand is another story. My major beef with him was how his association with Reverend Wright unfolded. I’m not questioning his religion. Not at all. I did take issue with how he suddenly denounced himself when clips of the Reverend came out with his “hate America” message. Obama was quick enough to say, paraphrased of course, that these are clips edited and put together to show something negative about his campaign. As the whole enchilada unfolded, Obama eventually denounced the Preacher whom he and his family listened to for 20 years. The same guy who baptized his children and the same guy he quoted in his book with much admiration.

People said that one thing has nothing to with the other. I digress. 20 years is a long time. Just as long as any relationship with a family member whom I’m sure has said stupid things in his/her lifetime. The difference is, they’re not running to run a Free Country.

Every time someone in Obama’s life has said something negative against Hillary Clinton or anything that has to do with hate, he was so quick to denounce them. Well what was he supposed to do? My point is, he listened, and was friends with these people for 20 years of his life. He knew what they were saying were stupid and hateful, granted he didn’t agree with them, he still continued to be associated with them And he’d still be going to that same Church and still be having a conversation with Reverend Wright if those hateful clips didn’t come out.

When we moved to where we are living now, we had to “shop” around for a new Church. The drive to our old Church was just impractical so we figured we’d go to one that’s near us. We went to our Landlord’s Church. Our first time visit was good, but at the end of that Mass we decided not to go back the following Sunday. Why? Because that Sunday, the Church was having a guest Preacher. It happened to be the same Preacher who has been in the news around that time for calling the Gay Community as evil creatures. Lo and behold, it was announced what topic the Church was going to discuss. Our family doesn’t agree with that kind of thinking and beliefs. We didn’t even have to discuss it. My husband and I looked at each other while driving home and it was understood where were going for the next service.

McCain/Palin

They helped create the mess we are in right now. McCain is anti-Gay Marriage. Palin being Pro-Life has no bearing in my decision. I’m Pro-Choice. Palin’s choice to be a Pro-Life is her choice. Get it? Stem Cell research. Taxes, Health Care, and the biggest one is of course about our Troops. They need to get out of Iraq. I know it’s easier said than done but some steps need to be taken to speed up the process.

Let’s not forget the fact that he chose a woman as a running mate after his team realized that Hillary’s supporters are pissed off that they’re willing to jump ship to vote for McCain. I’m not trying to dismiss Palin’s accomplishments but let’s call this calculated step as what it is.

I hate to go back to the “lipstick on a pig issue” but McCain said the same thing against Hillary. It’s all on tape. The Republican party is now also using “Change”. Like, dude, get your own. Besides, how could you change something you started and if we’re really going to be honest here, will continue in the end.

I’m so tired of the POW reference. No disrespect to McCain but you can be an American Hero without being captured in a war. The fact that they criticized Hillary so much for breathing about being a woman candidate. When they annouced Palin, all of a sudden they want the public, and media to leave her alone. Like seriously?

And then there’s of course the flip-flopping association and disassociation with the Bush.

Like I said, I know who gets my support. I think it’s pretty obvious .
