Ringtones are pretty much an extension of a person’s identity. If you like a song, you not only listen to it over and over again. You end up buying the ringtone version of it for your cellphone. I for one have used Mary J Blige, and Pussycat Dolls ringtones in the past. These days I like Maroon 5′s Move Like Jagger, anything by Jessie J, Katy Perry, Ke$ha, and of course Kelly Clarkson. Isn’t it fun to have specific ringtones for specific people? I like doing that coz I like to represent my contacts with their fun personality. I’m generous that way :) .

If you’re looking for a place to be able to create your own ringtone for your cellphone, check out Mobile17. The website lets you download either an MP3, M4A, WAV, WMA, or OGG file from your own computer. It then converts the song into a standardized format which takes about a few minutes, then you can edit it into a 40-second ringtone by picking particular parts of the song for your cellphone. Mobile17 works with LG, Motorola, Nokia, Samsung, Nokia, and iPhone. Mobile17 also lets you sent it to different networks including Sprint, Verison, T-Mobile and AT&T with worldwide availability as well.

YES, ringtone maker apps for iPhone and Android are available for downlaods as well.

ipadI’m really not into cell phones. That would flabbergast some people but there goes my secret, heh. If I want to call someone, I’d use the home phone or just e-mail or like everybody else, leave a wall message on Facebook, haha. I don’t even carry one right now. The ones I had were pretty much for emergency purposes. I used them for texting some people, but mostly my Husband. I’m just really not into it I guess. I wouldn’t know what’s in a blackberry playbook, let alone know what it is. To each it’s own, right? But I sure would love an iPad. Totally different things but that’s how I roll. Smile

Apple unveil iPad

Personally, I’m not the kind of person who would just go gaga over something trendy in gadgets department. I mean I looooove them of course even though I don’t know much about  certain gadgets before purchasing them. That’s Hub’s forte. He says it’s good, I’ll say “ok”. Once it’s in my hands then that’s when I’ll learn everything about it. That’s the kind of person I am. I need to touch it first. I am better in learning by doing, instead of reading novel-length manuals. Well, in certain things.

I know nothing about iPad. I couldn’t understand why everyone are going nuts over it when it first came out. Seriously though, do we REALLY REALLY need it? We survived years ago without it. But then again, the same goes with other things we’re enjoying in life these days. You know what I mean though, right?

While watching The Office last week, the iPad commercial came on for the nth time and I told the Hubs, “Dammit, I actually want one” to which he replied, “Me Too.” He’s curious how big the memory is then suggested that I’m sure we could always buy memory for it like every other computers. If you’re reading this and smirking at the lack of knowledge we have about iPads well, FYI, we never really planned on getting one therefore we were never interested in reading specifications. We’re probably one of the few people out there who won’t feel so affected if we continue living without an iPad, heh. Having said that, now that we’ve been inundated with commercials showing how cool it is, it might be something we’d be thinking about of purchasing in the future. Maybe in Christmas, or next year, but certainly not anytime soon though.

Before I share with you how to do that, here’s a background story of why I needed to fix the flash of my Nikon d40. Last week as I took pictures of the bowl of  mussels cooked in sauvignon blanc, I realized that the flash  in my Nikon d40 was not working right. From the sound of it, the flash wanted to open up but it’s not completely doing so. Hence, a blurry and gloomy result.

Very depressing, no? I kept on taking pictures of other times just to make sure. I adjusted settings, and changed lenses but the results were the same. I turned the camera off and told myself that maybe it’ll shake itself out and  go back to normal soon. But it didn’t. I was getting really frustrated coz I couldn’t take pictures of the beautiful white roses that I received from the Hubby for our 13th year Anniversary.

…you must not freak out too much to overstress and to avoid a nonsensical argument with a slightly drunk non-Irish guy. On the night of St. Patrick’s Day, my husband decided to take the laptop from where it’s comfortably hanging out in the corner of our living room to the garage. Even though there is actually a functioning computer in the garage that he could use to chat with his buddies, he picked the laptop instead coz it has a built-in webcam. About an hour after he yanked the laptop out of it’s safe and cozy home, he came in and informed me that the poor laptop is now hanging upside down because he accidentally spilled his drink on the keyboard.

My poor innocent HP Pavilion dv9810us was hanging on, quite literally, for it’s dear life, in the garage, no less. I know it was an accident, and he made sure I understood that it was an accident and I did. But not only was I pissed off for the laptop’s predicament, I was even pissed off that he won’t give me the satisfaction of getting mad at him. Getting infuriated with a slightly intoxicated guy is worthless. I said “slightly intoxicated” coz obviously, he still had the wits about him to react fast by turning everything off and turning it upside down as quickly as he did. He slurred his words and all I could say were: “Arrrgggggghhhhhhhh”, “Dammit Scott”, and because I’m a bitch I made sure to point out that “You know if I was the one who did that you’d be freaking out more than I am right now”, heh. But still, he was drunk, albeit slightly, so what was the point of prolonging the fight? I calmed down and found my center because the next morning was my tattoo appointment and didn’t want to be so stressed out over a laptop while being drilled in the back shoulder with ink.

yellow-flower1 I am in no way a photographer. I am just a girl with a Nikon D40 who loves taking pictures. Besides life moments, my children, and food, I love taking pictures of flowers. Every time my husband surprises me with bouquets on special occasions or “just because” days, I  am not only giddy  because of his romantic gesture. I am also happy that I get to take pictures of the flowers. Sometimes I’ll take a picture the same day  but most of the times I’ll  wait until the next day to do it so I’ll get a slightly bloomed flower. Like I said, I’m not a photographer. I have so much to learn when it comes to photography. There are terms that I need to familiarize myself with, as well as tricks to practice.

verizon-wireless-hub

I think I first saw the Verizon Wireless Hub thingie from an episode of Gossip Girls. I’m not sure if it’s Verizon though. It might be some other expensive brand since that show is about rich people. Anyway, after that, a few commercials came out and I told my husband I want it. For what I don’t know. It’s not like we have busy lives that we have to keep up with friends left and right. That’s what Facebook, Twiiter, Plurk are for yah know…. LOL. But I still think it’s cool.

So what’s a Verizon Wireless Hub? Basically, it’s like a phone stand with capabilities of videos, and being able to see the people who are calling you.
