4th Of July Double-Cheese Sliders
I made these sliders for our 4th of July feast. Theyβre just like burgers but in smaller sizes that are just too cute to eat. Well, of course we ate them but theyβre just cute as buttons I couldnβt help but admire my masterpiece, before I devoured one after another, and another.
4th Of July Double-Cheese Sliders
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- sprinkle salt & pepper
- condiments: mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard
- tomato slices
- a few pieces of greens or lettuce
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the ground beef(chuck or round, your choice), egg, cup of shredded cheddar cheese, 1cup bread crumbs, Worcestershire sauce, tsp of chili powder, sprinkle of salt and pepper. Mix everything together with your hands until well-combined.Β
- Form a small ball then flatten into a patty. Repeat until youβve formed about a dozen, or more depending on how much meat youβre using.
- Cook each side of patties in an outside grill or electric griddle. I decided to use my griddle coz I was afraid Iβd break the patties in my grill. Cook the 1st side, 8 minutes or so. Turn them over, cook for 7 minutes then place the cheese slices on top. To do this, cut 6 cheese slices in half. Then fold small section of each half to fit on top of the patties. Continue to cook for another minute. The cheese would melt slightly.
- Use whatever dinner rolls you prefer. I used Kingβs Hawaiian Hawaiian Sweet Rolls.
- Lightly spread mayonnaise on the rolls, then add the burger patties. Let the people you chose to share the sliders with decide if they want to add ketchup, mustard, tomatoes, and greens/ lettuce in their sliders. That would mean you have to have the aforementioned condiments, tomatoes and lettuce on the table of course.
I mean, look at them. Too pretty to eat but you know, when youβre famished, youβd probably 4 or 5 of those. Perfect for BBQ parties this summer.
