#SEWING: Butterfly/Batwings Top

I started this pattern from McCall’s back in October 2020. I got a little frustrated with it because I couldn’t understand the instructions. Honestly though, this is a simple pattern with 2-3 cutouts, depending on which style you’d chose. I chose the rounded-neck therefore I was only working with 2 fabric cutouts. But for some reason I was thinking it too hard that I couldn’t figure out how to finish the bodice. I totally blocked out so I walked away from it and went on with the rest of 2020. By the way, I decided to use cotton fabric instead of the recommended sheer. I’m just not ready to work with sheer fabrics yet.

So anyhoooo, I finally worked on it last month so this is my first sew of 2021.

I was still confused how I was going to finish the whole thing though so I searched YouTube for help and I found an easy tutorial on how to make batwing sleeves top. It’s actually too easy that I’m probably going to make more.

I love how flattering it is. And I really love this print. I have extras to make new masks too. What have you sewn lately?
