Chocolate-Covered Strawberries

A week before Valentine’s Day my own Mini-Sous Chef and I are usually busy making cookies or cupcakes. Much like other occasions, we love to bake and decorate our sweet treats. This year was different because I was feeling pain and discomfort from a latest dental work so I was completely out of motivation and well, a bit hazy from pain killers, HAH! I felt really bad and it didn’t help that the day before V-Day FB memories showed all our baking extravaganza from previous years. I had to think of something quick and easy. Chocolate-Covered Strawberries sounded pretty good.

These beautiful strawberries were a little more expensive than the regular ones. The look really red and just perfect plus they have the stems which makes it easier to dip in melted chocolate. The recipe is very easy. Swipe and watch the video from my IG below for reference.

This was the first time we made these so we obviously need more practice. Like I said, I’m not myself and only functioning thanks to Ibuprofen so bear with us. We’ll make them again and improve. What’s important was Emma enjoyed making them with me and definitely enjoyed sneaking a lick or two of the melted chocolate. She’s my daughter after all.

Chocolate-Covered Strawberries

Ingredients

  • white almond bark
  • dark almond bark
  • strawberries
  • sprinkles for decorations

Instructions

  • Melt the dark bark in the microwave for 1 1/2 minutes. Stir, then melt again for 30 seconds, stir again, another 30 seconds then stir completely until dipping consistency.
  • Do the same thing with the white bark then carefully dip strawberry, one at a time. Place in a parchment-lined pan. Decorate as you go so the sprinkles would stick.
  • Create your own designs.

Yummy chocolate-covered strawberries. Something easy, quick, and fun to make with your children. It doesn’t have to be Valentine’s Day either. Make ’em this weekend!
