#ReadingChallenge2022: “The Initiation” By Nikki Sloane
3 ⭐. I’m quite open and liberal when it comes to mature content in books. I mean, I used to read historical romance novels and trust me they were quite risqué and salacious. Note that I’m using the word mature because if I used any other words pertaining to it then Google will punish my blog and worse, I’ll start to generate uber-mature ads. We don’t want that on a Mommy blog, HAH!. But yeah, “The Initiation” by Nikki Sloane doesn’t have that much good reviews in Goodreads. I still went ahead and read it because I like the cover and I love that red gown which after reading the book makes me want to not like it that much anymore. Nikki Sloane certainly went for the jugular in telling a story about – Filthy Rich Americans – but IMO doesn’t necessarily have to be told in the way she did but it’s her book so what do I know, ☺️. Anyhoo, 3 stars because even though one particular aspect was quite disturbing the storytelling is still good. There’s just that one part that I wish was not in it. This is part of a series and I initially thought I might delve onto but after reading this first one I’m a little afraid now. So, well see in the future.
