First of all, I Love Jillian Ward. I’ve watched her career since she started in showbiz in 2009 and as Trudis Liit(2010). I loved it when Marian Rivera attended her birthday party and carried her like she’s her little sister, which she is pretty much. I agreed when Marian picked Jillian as one of the actresses who could play her in a biopic movie aside from Cassy Legaspi if ever there is one in the future. Jillian Ward could easily be GMA Network’s next important star. She’s now touted as GMA’s Teen Queen since Barbie Forteza has graduated from that title.
Here’s the thing though right now, she’s dressing way too old and too sexy for a 17yr old. She’s a beautiful young girl and she loves to push the limit with her fashion, facial projections, and poses. Kyline Alcantara was the same way when she was 16 which brings me to the direction of their Managers for these young ladies. I expressed the same thought on Twitter for Kyline years ago and now I’m going to do the same thing for Jillian through this article.
Don’t get me wrong, Jillian is a beautiful young star with a talent to boot. She’s being precocious at this stage and I’m guessing that’s the image she wants but perhaps a little too much too soon? The GMA Gala Night was a perfect event to present her as a GMA Network Princess. However, she looked more like Jessica Rabbit in both her black and white gowns. Her look was appropriate for much older actresses. The ones in their mid-20s and upwards. 17? The trajectory is way too mature and too early in my opinion.
Jillian Ward could’ve made a much bigger splash that night but I get the feeling fashion outlets were being careful in referring to her because she’s only 17 and her gowns and media package were tethering dangerously over the edge. Unfortunately, by the time this thought sinks in, she’ll be 18 and we’ll probably see an even more precocious Jillian Ward.
