Miss USA R’Bonney Nola Gabriel Wins Miss Universe 2022
Miss USA R’Bonney Gabriel from Texas won the Miss Universe 2022 crown. WOOOHOOOO! She was very strong and I loved her answer to the final question. All 3 final contestants, Miss Dominican Republic, Miss Venezuela, and Miss USA had to answer the same question as is the way in Miss Universe pageant. This year’s final question was; “If you win Miss Universe, how would you work to demonstrate this as an empowering and progressive organization?”
Frankly, that question was a bit generic and how many ways can one actually give an empowering answer focusing on oneself? Miss USA gave specifics and that’s why she won. She would use her win as Miss Universe by being a “transformational leader” wherein she speicifically mentioned being a fashion designer who’s been helping the environment by using recyclable materials in her clothing. Then she doubled down by adding that she’s giving sewing classes to survivors of human trafficking and domestic violence. She believes in investing on others and the community and to use our unique talents to make a difference. BOOM! If you go over her personal Instagram you could easily see why she was confident in her answers because she’s been doing it for a long time and not just for the sake of the pageant.
That she’s a half-Filipina and the first ever Fil-Am Miss USA winner(and now Miss Universe) is the sweetest icing on the cake!
