Mother’s Day Weekend, Gardening, And Yard Sale Finds
How was everyone’s Mother’s Day? I hope you were all spoiled and celebrated as your should be and well-deserved. I was. My Mother’s Day weekend started on Friday. It was my in-laws last day with us from their annual visit from New York. Hubby made his AWESOME Smash Double Cheeseburgers for dinner which I served with my creamy coleslaw(I should really share my go-to recipe soon) and Tater Tots. We then sat and enjoyed our deck until it was time for S’mores.
Saturday was spent at the Nursery to get more plants for my garden as a way of my husband spoiling me. After that I went to work and planted petunias in my hanging baskets, zinnias, some celosias, and I’ve finally planted Marigolds in the pots upfront. I did some planting Thursday too for the flowers pots in the deck but I didn’t take pictures of that yet. Maybe once the plants are grown a bit. Anyhooo, so my garden spots are all taken cared of. I even did the Rose garden on Monday. Hubby grilled steaks and portobello mushrooms for dinner. It was DELICIOUS!
Oh, we also stopped at a Yard Sale and found a nice end table and a frame with the quote, “Dance as if no one were watching. Sing as if no one were listening. Live each day as if it were your last.” Then on Mother’s Day itself I convinced my husband to put more holes into the wall to hand the frame, HAH! The end table is now home to the first harvest of my hydrangeas.
By Sunday, I was soar from all the gardening. I just took it easy since it was Mother’s Day after all. We did our dinner and just spent time as a family. I hope you all had a wonderful time as well.
