These Ladies Made The GMA GALA 2023 SHIMMER!

These FABULOUS Ladies walked into the room, SLAYED, and SHIMMERED! Some of them had dates with their handsome partners and some went solo.

Bear in mind that these ladies were MY favorites from the night. You have yours, I have mine. I prefer understated and classic elegance without much fuss and fluff. If you prefer edgy and out of the box, GOOD FOR YOU. I don’t mind being adventurous once in a while but only to a point and if the occasion/situation actually calls for it. Let’s leave it at that.

The second Marian Rivera uploaded her first photo on her IG account I called her ETHEREAL. As the night went on that adjective was THE word on everyone’s lips to describe Marian’s look, wearing a pleated silk wool column gown with hand appliqué Chantilly and corded lace from Daniel Frankel. Marian completed her ensemble with Messika jewlry, white platform sandals from Valentino, and Anya Hindmarch clutch. The Primetime Queen’s GODDESS look was finished with loose-wavy curls done by Nante Alingasa and stunning makeup by Juan Sarte. The social media was ablaze with praises for Marian and by the end of the GALA she is one of the best dressed women on everyone’s list. There’s something to be said about how Marian gravitates towards simplicity, classic, and timeless pieces. She knows who she is, what she wants, and maybe sometimes she’d go out of her comfort zone but she never ever feels the need to prove anything to anyone. That’s why she always gets it right!

Sanya Lopez was a Hollywood bombshell in her gold Michael Leyva mermaid gown. I loved her overall look with the hair and golden glow.

I was so happy to see Jennylyn Mercado(with hubby Dennis Trillo) at the red carpet since they didn’t attend the Ball last year. Jennylyn went for an old-Hollywood glam with a green gown from Anthony Ramirez, accessorized with black opera gloves and black cape. Jen was simply STUNNING.

Barbie Forteza was shining bright in her mint green custom silk gown from Ehrran Montoya. I love the structure of the top portion where there’s a sheer illusion on the sides. Barbie carried it really well.

Julie Anne San Jose is in her Lavender Haze era(with boyfriend Rayver Cruz) in this whimsical Mak Tumang lilac bejeweld gown with chiffon cape and sexy heels from René Caovilla.

Newly-engaged Bea Alonzo was stunning in her bustier-corset thigh-high slit gown from AZ Factory with jewelry from Bulgari to complete her signature understated elegant style.

When I saw the first photo of Andrea Torres posted online wearing an Anthony Ramirez gown I thought the dress looked bulky. BUT, I fell in love with the auburgine color. As the night went on I could not dismiss it. Thankfully I saw photos from Andrea’s stylist Perry Tabora and that’s when I decided she had to be part of my list. I did not mind the details anymore and seriously, the eggplant color is truly GORGEOUS!

It’s nice seeing Kyline Alcantara in a light color this year. She’s refreshingly bright and romantic in her JACQUEMUS fish tail gown. Kyline evoked sweet and breezy scenery from Tuscany. Her GLAM team, Studio 24c, (same with Marian Rivera) did good with this look.

Oh let me tell you how in love I am with Sophie Albert‘s gown from Steph Tan Couture. I love this pale pink one-shoulder mermaid gown with rosette details on the shoulder and the big rose in the front. It’s exquisite. By the way, Sophie and Vin really do make a good looking couple.

Megan Young was shining splendidly in her Francis Libiran top and tiered full skirt. I mean, if you’re going to shimmer, then SHIMMER brightly!

It’s a slippery slope with Anne Curtis‘ look where she channeled her favorite Audrey Hepburn in YSL white silk column gown and Tiffany&Co jewelry. Basically, if anyone is going to pull off this truly minimalist look, it will be none other than Anne-Kabogable herself.

Rounding up my list are Gabbi Garcia in a 2-piece tube top and fringe tiered skirt with net overlay from Martin Bautista. Kylie Padilla in a metallic grey fantastical custom creation from Ehran Montoya. Hayley Dizon in a pretty bustier tiered tulle gown from Arsen Flores. Glaiza de Castro in olive green silk pleated gown from Joe San Antonio.
