BACON & CHEESE BURGER ON WHEAT BUNS
Burger King’s Double Stacker is currently my favorite from BK these days. That bacon is really good. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still a Junior Whopper kind of girl. But yeah, Burger King Double Stacker is good. We do indulge on fast food burgers once in a while, especially when out on errands and we had to grab something quick. However, as much as possible, we prefer to make burgers at home. My husband’s “signature” burger to make is the Black & Blue Burger. You should try his Bacon & Feta Cheeseburger too. I just make regular cheese burgers with lettuce and tomato slice sometimes. Last week day I decided to make Bacon & Cheese Burger.
BACON & CHEESE BURGER ON WHEAT BUNS
Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef
- sprinkle of Italian Seasoning
- sprinkle of Zatarains’ Blackened seasoning (+ more)
- 3/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- cooked bacon strips
- wheat burger buns
- mayonnaise
- ketchup
- spicy brown mustard
- cheese slices
Instructions
- In a non-stick pancook the bacon strips then set aside.
- In a big bowl, combine beef Italian seasoning, salt, blackened seasoning, breadcrumbs, and egg. Mix everything together with your hands.
- Get a fistful size of the meat mixture and form into a patty. Do this until you have all the patties you need.
- Cook the patties, each side in either the grill, griddle pan, or non-stick pan. Add the cheese slices on top at the very end to slighly melt.
You know the rest, mayonnaise on the wheat buns, patty with cheese first, ketchup and mustard, then top with bacon. Enjoy.
