MMFF Unveils EDSA Mural Featuring Movie Hall Of Famers & Top-Grossing Stars

In good company of icons and legends in Philippines movie industry. Metro Manila Film Festival, in part of its 50th anniversary unveiled its mural which will be displayed along EDSA featuring Dolphy, Eddie Garcia, Gloria Romero, Nora Aunor, Vilma Santos, Christopher De Leon, Maricel Soriano, Vice Ganda, Vic Sotto, Marian Rivera, Dingdong Dantes, Amy Austria, Joseph Estrada, Anthony Alonzo, and Fernando Poe Jr.

In an explanation during the even, MMDA and MMFF Acting Chairman Atty. Don Artes said they cannot depit everyone in the mural so he hopes the fans will understand their focus on the hall of famers and top-grossing stars.

JUST IN: #MMFF unveils the first part of its mural, set to be displayed along EDSA, in celebration of the long-running film festival’s 50th anniversary. The mural will feature the following MMFF icons: Dolphy, Eddie Garcia, Gloria Romero, Nora Aunor, Vilma Santos, Christopher De Leon, Maricel Soriano, Vice Ganda, Vic Sotto, Marian Rivera, Dingdong Dantes, Amy Austria, Joseph Estrada, Anthony Alonzo, and Fernando Poe Jr.

MMDA and MMFF Acting Chairman Atty. Don Artes said that while they cannot depict everyone who has been part of MMFF’s 50-year history, they hope fans understand the focus on hall of famers and top-grossing stars.

In addition to the icons, hand-painted posters of past entries will also adorn the walls along EDSA.
During the event at the MMDA Auditorium, the SineSigla sa Singkwenta 50@50 was introduced. Running from September 25 to October 15 in select theaters nationwide, the event will showcase past MMFF entries re-released at a ticket price of P50.
