UBE Tres Leches Cake
I love Tres Leches Cake. There’s a recipe right here, adapted from The Pioneer Woman. That one uses chiffon cake from scratch. Now let’s make an UBE version AND let’s use a cake mix instead. Trust me, it works!!!
Also, instead of whipping heavy cream for frosting, I decided to use a tub of whipped fluffy cake frosting. I still whipped it though just to give it that really whipped consistency and easier to spread on the cake. It’s pretty whipped! 😄😌
Ingredients
Method
- Preheat the oven to 350°. Make the yellow cake according to the box instructions. Combine the box contents with 3 eggs, 1 cup water, and 1/4 cup vegetable oil in a mixing bowl. Mix until well-blended then add 2 tsp of UBE extract. Mix a couple more minutes to combine.

- Pour the batter into the pan. Bake in the preheted oven for 28-30 minutes or until a clean toothpick comes out clean.

- While the cake is baking combine the 'LECHES' mixture. In a bowl, stir together the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, regular whole milk(use the condensed milk can to measure) and 2 tsp of UBE extract. Cover and chill in the fridge until cake is ready.

- Let the cake cool down completely after baking. Once cooled down, poke the cake all over with a fork.

- Gently pour the LECHES/MILK all over the cake. Watch magic happens as the cakes soaks up the milk. Cover the pan with a foil and chill in the fridge for 3-4 hours.

- Place the whipped fluffy white cake frosting in a bowl and mix for 3-5minutes.

- Spread the whipped frosting on top of the cake after the chilling process.

- Put it back in fridge until ready to serve for dessert.

Cut in squares to serve!
If you want to make UBE Tres Leches Cake using the original recipe, go for it. Just add the UBE extract in the batter then in the milk mixture! 👍👍
