In a pot, brown the ground beef in medium heat. Discard the grease. Pour in the spaghetti sause then sprinkle with dried basil, dried oregano, garlic powder, salt ang black pepper. The tbsp of sugar is optional. Stir everything together and simmer until it boils.
While the sauce is simmering, slightly beat the egg in a bowl. Then add the ricotta cheese, cottage cheese, 1 cup of the shredded cheese, sprinkles of dried basil, dried oregano, and dried garlic. Stir everything together until well-combined. Preheat the oven to 355°
To assemble the lasagna, start with some of the meat sauce in the bottom of the pan, then lasagna noodles, cheese mixture, and some of the meat sauce. Repeat the process. Top with the remaining shredded cheese. Cover the pan with double foil then stick it in the oven to bake for an hour.
After baking, let it stand in the counter for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
