Hazelnut Thumbprint Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulates sugar
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup  hazelnut spread (Nutella)

Method
 

  1. In a bowl, mix together flour, salt, and baking soda. Set aside. In a mixing bowl, beat together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar using the paddle attachment until well-combined and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract then gradually add the flour mixture. 
    Preheat the oven to 375°.
    Scoop a spoonful of dough to form a bowl or use a cookie scooper if you have one. Place in a cookie sheet. Repeat. Bake 'em in the oven for 10-12 minutes.  
  2. Once baked, take 'em out and immediately push thumb in the middle of the cookie. Let them cool in a rack while you bake the next batch. 
    Once cooled, spoon some hazelnut into the thumbprint indentation.
