Hoisin Beef & Broccoli Stir-Fry

Ingredients

  • 2 pcs boneless ribeye steaks cut in thin strips
  • 1/2 cup Hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • sprinkle of garlic powder
  • sprinkle of salt & pepper
  • 3-4 tbsp oil for stir-frying
  • 1/2 onion sliced
  • 2-3 cloves fresh garlic peeled, chopped
  • 1 thumb-size ginger peeled, chopped
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 sm heads of broccoli florets

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix together the beef strips in Hoisin sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic powder, and black pepper. Cover the bowl and marinate for 3-4 hours or overnight.
  • After marinating for 4 hours.
  • Heat up oil in a wok/pan. Add the marinated beef strip into the wok to sauté. Stir a few times. Add water, cover the wok and let that cook to brown and tenderize the beef. After the water reduces a bit, add the onions, garlic, and ginger to sauté. Stir and cook for a couple of minutes.
  • Stir in the broccoli florets. Let that cook for a few minutes to soften the broccoli.
