Herb Seasoned Roasted Turkey
Just as the title says, herb seasoned roasted turkey is what it is. The dry rub approach if we’re being technical. No need to complicate things with the turkey. The time it needs to cook is the essential part.
Simply wash thoroughly then pat try the turkey. In a bowl, combine pretty much whatever dried herbs you have in your seasoning pantry. Such as, dried parsley, dried oregano, paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Eyeball the measurements. Rub it all around the turkey and inside too. Preheat the oven to 325°. Place the turkey in a roasting pan, cover the whole thing with 2 sheets foil. Bake according to pounds. The rule is 13 minutes per pound. After about 3 hours of cooking, take the foil out. Cover the legs and wings with foil to avoid over-browning those parts. Place the turkey back in the oven to continue cooking. A thermometer should register at 160° when you check for doneness.
