Marian Rivera Launched “Project Smile” W/ CAD & Smile Train Philippines
Marian Rivera launched “Project Smile” with Center for Advanced Dentistry(CAD) and Smile Train Philippines. The initiative which was announced on April 15th in San Juan aims to improve access to oral healthcare for children from underserved communities.
During its inception, 15 children were provided with oral treatment from the doctors at CAD.
“Necessity kasi ‘to kaso minsan dahil sa mga nangyayari sa mundo natin parang hindi na siya priority pero kaya ngayon nandito tayo para makapagbigay tayo ng awareness kung gaano ka importante ‘yung oral hygiene.”
“11 years na ako with Smile Train and nakikita ko ‘yung transformation nila after the operation. Nakikita namin na nagkakaroon sila ng kumpiyansa sa sarili nila. Hindi na sila mahiyain. Nakikipaglaro na sila. At ‘yung pinaka mahalaga ‘yung mabigyan sila ng lakas ng loob.” – #MarianRivera
“One of our advocacies is to pay it forward and to help the less fortunate. So at this point in our career, we would like to help a lot of people, especially with what we are doing today. It’s going to bless the children and educate them about proper and good oral hygiene,” said Dr. Nelda Eufemio, one of the clinic’s owners and foundation members.
Marian is one of the celebrity endorsers of CAD Clinic and has been an Ambassador of Smile Train PH for 11 years.
