First Day Of High School

First day of High School pictures. But of course. I can’t believe EmmaBoo is now in High School. It’s going to be another interesting year for sure. I do think she’ll have a much better time now compare to Middle School though. She was in mainstream classes all throughout the Middle School and there were challenges. She had IEP and had to implement Behavioral IEP. A lot of adjustments, phone calls, meetings, and picking her up. OMG.

High School has a much better program for kids with Special Needs. This school anyway. Emma has 4 classes and 2 of them are in a contained environment with a EC Teacher and an EC Asst through OCS program. I’m crossing my fingers and certainly being hopeful and positive about it all. We want her to enjoy her experience in High School. She’s still non-verbal around school but we’re truly hoping she’d be more confident speaking up. Here’s to hoping. Wishing all students, Teachers, and parents a great school year.
