Irish Soda Bread With Raisins
I’m a bit late in posting this Irish Soda Bread With Raisins since St. Patrick’s Day was last Friday. I tried to unearth an old recipe from the old blog but I lost the photos from it. Anyway, Irish Soda Bread is “traiditonally” served as a side bread to a Corned Beef and Cabbage dinner during St. Patrick’s Day and I made it for our dinner last Friday. This bread is the easiest bread you can make. I suggest you bookmark it to save for next year or make it soon just to try it and see how good it is.
It’s easy in the sense that you don’t need yeast for this bread. If you have the essentials for baking in the pantry then you’re good. Just add buttermilk and raisins. You still have to knead but not for long and there’s no need to rise and punch the dough either. You can skip sugar, egg, and raisins for a more traditional dry texture soda bread but my Irish Soda Bread With Raisins recipe is a little moist and almost cake-like which is how we prefer it. Alright, let’s get to it.
