Marian Rivera Gives Insight To Her New Series “Behind Closed Doors” W/ Prime Video PH

During an interview with Aubrey Carampel for 24Oras, Kapuso Queen Marian Rivera gave some insights in her new character for the upcoming series, Behind Closed Doors, under Prime Video PH and GMA Network. Marian said she’s entering a new world as a journalist which she has never done before. She’s prepared to study and observe the people around her like Carampel who works in the industry to properly form her character. Marian gushed how good the project is and not just about her charater but everyone in it and all their connections with each other.

“Ang gandang pasukin ng mundo na hindi ko pa nagagawa. Marami akong kailangang pag-aralan dahil sabi ko nga, first time ko [gaganap] bilang journalist. So, ‘yung mga malalapit sa buhay ko parang ikaw [Aubrey Carampel], kailangan ko kayo i-observe, pag-aralan, at kung paano ba talaga ang tama para makahubog ako ng character. Ang ganda ng project. Sabi ko nga, hindi lang ‘yung character ko. Parang halos lahat ng character, may puso at may malalim na connection sa bawat isa.”

Director Dominic Zapata also shared that he asked Marian’s husband, Kapuso King Dingdong Dantes, to convince Marian to take the role. A very offbeat one where Marian will play amistress to the President of the Philippines. The latter will be played by Dingdong himself in s special participation.

Let’s address the elephant in the room here. Dingdong playing the President is most probably a huge request(my guess, don’t quote me) from Marian. We all know that she’s very picky with projects these days, considering her time away from her children and the kind of stories she wants to tell. And everyone in the meeting said YES TO EVERYTHING! Hey, she’s GMA Network’s Queen after all. Know that and Know Peace! Zapata is glad that Marian is fully on board.
