When There’s A Hobby Lobby Store Nearby
Before the new Hobby Lobby store opened about 30-minute drive from us I think I went to the nearest one a few years ago only once. That was like an hour drive away and just my luck it was closed because it was on a Sunday, HAHA! I forgot about that detail since we were in town for something else and I saw the big store sign in my peripheral vision so I figured I’d check it out. I only saw the front doors and that was it. Until last March when the 30-minute drive store finally opened.
The minute I entered the store I was like, HALLELUJAH! Aisles after aisles and shelves after shelves of home decors and crafts for ALL styles and dreams. OMG! I think actually got dizzy trying to absorb everything. I tried to look at every item as much as I can while deciding what to purchase first. It was a bit overwhelming. Naturally, I wanted to buy the whole store but no room in the car and in the house, HAH! I’ve managed to edit myself with just 2 items with the intention of going back when I have extra money to play around with. First item I purchased is this hanging wood WELCOME sign which I thought would be perfect for the front door this Spring and Summer seasons to go along with the DIY straw hat wreath that I made years ago.
And this white canvas heart-butterflies painting. If you know me you know how much I love butterflies.
While my in-laws were here a couple of weeks ago we went to Hobby Lobby because my mother-in-law was looking for a yarn she needed for baby blankets she’s crocheting for a friend. Plus, she wanted to get me something for our “new” blue bathroom. The latter has a beach theme decor so I’ve talked about getting something mermaid and I found this mermaid wall decor that’s just beautiful and haunting. I love the back pose, long red hair, and the way she’s sitting. 🧜♀️❤❤ I also found a rowing paddle decor but I’ve decided to wait until Summer to use that in the fireplace/mantel.
I remember seeing a metal DAISY wall decor the last time I was at the store and thought it would be perfect for the first floor bathroom. I picked that up too and I was right, it’s perfect! I’ve never actually showed our downstairs bathroom so here’s a glimpse.
When I go back to Hobby Lobby I think I’ll pick this white wood anchor and a moving round cake decorating turntable. I can’t wait! 😍
