Celebs Who Do Pilates: Bianca Gonzalez, Jennylyn Mercado, & Marian Rivera
The word Pilates came up when I mentioned it on X(Twitter) in reference to how in my opinion, Marian Rivera is perfectly FIT and capable to portray DARNA again if PH showbiz isn’t so ageist and some people are not offended over an actress’ age when it comes to the superhero role. Click here to READ and opine if you want to. Anyway, it just so happened that Marian just recently shared another one of her Pilates session on her IGS. She has since shared the video on her Facebook page.
It then made me think of the other celebs who do Pilates as part of their fitness and healthy lifestyle. I know Bianca Gonzalez is an avid Pilates fan as well as Jennylyn Mercado. You scroll through their Instagram accounts and you’ll find plenty videos and photos of both Bianca and Jennylyn doing Pilates for a long time. Marian herself mentioned that Pilates helped her with her pregnancies as I’ve mentioned in an article I wrote back in 2019. Not only does Marian do Pilates with Ole Loves Pilates, she continues with her strength training with her Husband Dingdong Dantes, and of course we all know she loves Dancing.
Read all the way through the end as I share with you my personal experience with Pilates and where you can avail them yourselves for free with no-equipment. STICK AROUND!
BIANCA GONZALEZ
JENNYLYN MERCADO
MARIAN RIVERA
Now as promised, my own personal experience with Pilates. I was really focused and consistent with it in 2020-2023. I followed weekly/monthly challenges and it truly helped me become leaner and more flexible. This is me at my leanest form from 2022 to 2023. I did a combination of dance cardio/fitness and Pilates. It’s still my combo workout 5 days a week w/ an occacional dance fitness on Saturdays but I’ve cut back doing Pilates 3 times a week because of time but I still make sure I do it 3 days at least.
DO NOT be intimadated by the equipments that Bianca, Jennylyn, and Marian are using. They are in advanced levels and yes, they can afford an instructor and equipments. Don’t worry about that because there are FREE Pilates videos on YouTube. My go-to Pilates videos are from BLOGILATES. If and when you are ready to do Pilates, start with her Pop and Beginner videos. Once you have gone through the techniques and are confident about going advance, you may want to do the 21-day tone challenge which I love by the way. Blogilates is the best place in my opinion for Pilates workout. Get you a Yoga mat, 3-5 pound weights, and time for yourself.
My favorite routine is this 1-Hour Pop Pilates class which will work your whole body. No equipment and no weights, just a floor mat and maybe cutesy workout clothes.
